Plus-Sized Hearts podcast starts its journey with a very special guest from Korea. Vivian Geeyang Kim is a true trailblazer in Korea’s plus-size scene.
“All I knew was that I wanted to be able to walk into a clothing store in Paris and feel like I was seen with the body size I have,” Zhurkin said. “Not only was I not seen, it was quite the opposite.”
When I first arrived in Paris as an expat in 2014, I was immediately caught up in the whirlwind of trying to assimilate into the quintessentially Parisian way of life.
But I’ve found no matter where you go in the world, people are inherently good, and life is meant to be real, happy, and joyful. I love deeply which means I also feel deeply the hard parts of life. It’s who I am, and I’m okay with it.
These words reminded me, over and over, that there is an elegance and power that comes from embracing oneself, a radiance that outshines any physical beauty.
