In this interview, I chat about my book “Plus Size in Paris.” with Genie Godula of France 24 TV. Drawing from my own experiences as a plus-size woman living in Paris, I discuss the challenges of finding clothes if you’re above size 42 or 44 in the city, which is something my main character, Abby, faces as well. I give a shoutout to the plus-size influencers who have supported me and emphasize the need for more inclusivity in fashion, highlighting how designer Christian Siriano is helping to showcase different body types on the runway. I also touch on how manufacturing issues can restrict size options and how comparisons of my book to “Emily in Paris” made publishing a bit tricky. In addition to the book, I mention my podcast, Plus Size Hearts, where I share stories and have conversations with people advocating for fashion inclusivity. I offer advice for plus-size individuals in Paris and talk about similar challenges in South Korea, encouraging people to explore boutiques with empowering fashion choices.
