In this interview, I chat about my book “Plus Size in Paris” with Genie Godula of France 24 TV. Drawing from my own experiences as a plus-size woman living in Paris, I discuss the challenges of finding clothes if you’re above size 42 or 44 in the city, which is something my main character, Abby, faces as well. I give a shout out to the plus-size influencers who I followed and continue to follow because I found them so inspiring when I was developing the story. I couldn't not mention Christian Siriano as he's the designer that gets the assignment when it comes to inclusivity on those iconic fashion show runways. It was nice to be able to share my experience getting this book published, especially the constant comparisons made to "Emily in Paris." In addition to the book, my podcast Plus-Sized Hearts is highlighted and I get to share how I use the term plus-size in relation to our heart sizes, not our body sizes in conversation with people from all over the world. I offer advice for plus-size individuals in Paris and talk about similar challenges in South Korea, where I live now, encouraging people to explore boutiques with empowering fashion choices and finally that this conversation is a global one!
